Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Ashley.
I'm a born-and-bred Brisbane local with over 20 years of experience in residential construction, a passion for renovating older homes, and a genuine appreciation for quality workmanship.
I began my career as a qualified electrician, spending 10 years working almost exclusively on residential projects, from new builds to countless renovations. I then moved into the construction supply industry, where I've spent the past 12 years working closely with some of Brisbane's most respected renovation builders.
My role has involved much more than supplying building materials. I've worked alongside builders to source and specify products, provide technical guidance, and help solve practical challenges both on and off site. Along the way, I've developed longstanding professional relationships and a genuine understanding of the builders I work with, their capabilities, and the standards they set for their projects.
Outside of work, I've always had a passion for property, particularly Brisbane's older character homes. I've undertaken renovations of my own, from largely hands-on improvements to a 1970s home in Arana Hills through to a major lift-and-build-under renovation of a 1950s home in Stafford. These experiences have given me an appreciation of renovating from the homeowner's perspective, too.
Brisbane is home for me and my young family, and it's where I've chosen to establish Reno Edge.
I created Reno Edge to put my industry knowledge and longstanding relationships to good use, helping homeowners find experienced renovation builders I personally know, trust and feel confident recommending.

Why I started Reno Edge
Over my years in residential construction, I've seen firsthand how challenging the renovation process can be, for both homeowners and builders.
I've met homeowners who simply don't know where to begin when looking for a quality renovation builder, others who find the quoting and building process difficult to navigate, and builders who struggle to find projects and clients that are the right fit for their business.
I've also witnessed how mismatched expectations, poor communication and misunderstandings early in a project can lead to unnecessary frustration, delays and expense for everyone involved.
I started Reno Edge to help bridge that gap.
By drawing on my industry experience and longstanding relationships with Brisbane renovation builders, I aim to make the process of finding the right builder more straightforward, while helping builders connect with clients and projects that suit their expertise.
But I also recognise that finding a builder is only one part of the renovation journey. That's why I remain available as a point of contact throughout the project, offering practical guidance, helping homeowners understand the process and providing support when questions arise.
My goal is simple: to help homeowners and builders start on the right foot, build a positive working relationship and approach the renovation process with greater confidence.
