Founder
After more than 20 years in residential construction, I've learned that successful renovations come down to two things: the right people and the right advice. I spent the first 10 years of my career as a tradesman before moving into the building supply industry, where I've spent the past decade working alongside some of Brisbane's most respected renovation builders. That experience has allowed me to build genuine, long-term relationships with builders, suppliers and manufacturers, while developing a deep understanding of what contributes to a successful renovation.
Over the years, I've seen what works, and just as importantly, what can go wrong. I've watched outstanding builders deliver exceptional results, but also seen the costly mistakes that come from choosing the wrong builder, product or advice. I created Reno Edge to give homeowners access to the knowledge, relationships and practical experience I've built over two decades, connecting you with a builder I genuinely trust and helping you approach your renovation with clarity, confidence and peace of mind.

No. Reno Edge is focused specifically on residential renovations, where selecting the right builder and navigating an existing home requires a specific set of experience and skills.
Does Reno Edge cost me anything?

Builder introductions are free for homeowners with plans ready for quoting.
Our Planning & Design Coordination service provides independent guidance and access to experienced industry professionals, helping you make informed decisions and move your project towards construction. A fee applies, with all costs explained upfront and a partial refund if you sign a building contract with a Reno Edge builder.
How does Reno Edge get paid?

If your project proceeds with a builder introduced through Reno Edge, the builder pays Reno Edge a referral commission based on the value of the project. This arrangement is disclosed upfront and does not change the price agreed between you and your builder.
For homeowners requiring planning and design coordination, Reno Edge also charges a separate service fee, as outlined above.
Does the Reno Edge referral fee increase the cost of my renovation?

Builders understand they may be competing with other builders, including those outside the Reno Edge network, so their pricing still needs to be competitive. The price you receive is the builder’s price for your project, with no separate Reno Edge fee added to your contract.
How does the process start?

It starts with a conversation about your project, budget, priorities and how far you've progressed. Whether you already have plans or need assistance with planning and design, we'll determine the most suitable approach for your renovation.
Will I get to choose which builder I use?

Absolutely. Reno Edge can introduce suitable builders and support you through the quoting process, but the final decision on who you engage is always yours.
Does Reno Edge stay involved once construction starts?

Yes. Reno Edge will remain involved throughout the build, offering support where & when requested, helping with product selections, technical questions and issues that may arise along the way. The aim is to give you another experienced point of contact alongside your builder.
How are builders selected for the Reno Edge network?

Reno Edge only works with builders that founder, Ashley Street, knows and trusts. Ashley has worked alongside each of them professionally for a minimum of several years, giving him first-hand knowledge of their workmanship, experience and the way they operate. All builders in the Reno Edge network are appropriately licensed & insured.
Does Reno Edge guarantee the builder or their work?

No. Your building contract is directly with your chosen builder, and Reno Edge does not carry out or manage the building work. Our role is to help you make a more informed choice and provide independent support throughout the process.
